Design basic elements
For € 95,– we add one of the elements listed below to your PDF. If you choose two elements, the price becomes € 190,-. For three elements, you receive a discounted prize of € 250,-.
- Bookmarks (tabs)
- Header and footer text
- Title pages of the chapters
For the style, you can choose one of our basic style formats or make it yourself, so that we can reproduce it.
We ask you to submit one final PDF document containing the complete thesis.
If you want to make adjustments after the book sample, please indicate when submitting the new PDF file that the elements need to be added again.
Design complete
Price: €525 (supplement €100 for more than 250 pages and €100 for more than 30 tables).
We create the complete interior of your dissertation, based on your chosen outline. The template you can choose from can be found on our website.
We format the following aspects: (according to the specifications of the chosen template)
- Font type, size and line spacing
- Formatting headings
- Title pages of the chapters
- Header and footer
- Bookmarks (tabs)
- Table of contents
- Tables
- Positioning of figures
We prefer to receive files in the following manner:
1. One Word document with all text, captions figures and tables
2. One pdf file of the above file
3. One folder with all the figures
3a. A folder of supplementary figures (if any).
4. NOTE: send final files that have been properly checked!
Explanation of previous 4 steps:
1. One Word document with all text, captions figures and tables. The tables and captioned figures may be in the position where you want them approximately or at the back of the chapter (basically just as you sent to the committee). The text should have a structure. So it should be clear what headings and subheadings are.
2. Please receive a PDF of the same file according to specifications. See chapter 5 of our manual. Please leave all figures, images and tables in the text. In addition, please supply these separately.
3. To ensure the quality of the figures, it is important to create a PDF according to specifications from the source file (see chapter 5 of our manual). If the source file is no longer available, you can also supply .ai, .eps, .tiff, .jpeg. It is important that the resolution is at least 300 dpi at full size. We will check this when you submit your artwork and will point out to you if any files do not meet this requirement. You can then decide to do something about it or leave it as it is. Of course, you will always see the result in the proof book. The naming of the figures should be as follows: H1.1, H1.2, H1.3, H2.1, H2.2 etc.
3a. For supplementary material, we will assume the position as you have given it in your Word document. When naming supplementary figures, add “sup”. So: sup H3.1, sup H3.2 etc.
4. It is very important that the files are final and well checked. Once we start working with the files, it is not possible to provide a new file and we have to correct anything that needs to be changed in the text. The package includes one hour of correction (this includes author’s correction) and when the files are final, this will always be sufficient for you. Should we take much longer than one hour, you will be charged € 55 per hour afterwards.
Design creative
Price: € 750,- (supplement €100 for more than 250 pages and €100 for more than 30 tables).
We can also design the entire interior of your thesis according to your wish. Anything is possible, we can incorporate every idea or example you give us into your layout.
We design the following aspects (according to the specifications of the basis style format chosen):
- Letter font, letter size, and line spacing
- Design headers
- Title pages of the chapters
- Header and footer text
- Bookmarks (tabs)
- Table of contents
- Tables
- Figures positioning
We prefer to receive the files in the following way:
1. One Word document including all texts, figure legends, and tables
2. One pdf file of the file mentioned above
3. A folder containing all figures
3a. A folder containing supplementary figures (if available)
4. ATTENTION: Send us final files that have been thoroughly checked!
Additional information on the previous 4 steps:
1. One Word document including all texts, figure legends, and tables. The tables and figure legends may be placed at the approximate correct locations or after the chapter (in principle, similarly as you have sent to the committee). The text should have a structure. Accordingly, the distinction between main headings and sub-headings should be clear.
2. We ask you to convert the Word file into a PDF file according to the specifications (see chapter 5 of our manual). You can leave all figures, images, and tables in the text. Please, send us also these items separately.
3. It is important to convert the source file into a pdf file that is in accordance with the specifications, in order to ensure the quality of the images (see chapter 5 of our manual). If the source file is no longer available, you can submit files with .ai, .eps, .tiff or .jpeg formats. Be aware that the resolution should be at least 300 dpi at true size. We check this when you submit your files. We notify you when we receive files that do not meet this requirement. You can decide to act accordingly or to do nothing. In any case, the results can be carefully checked in the book sample. The figure numbers should be labeled as follows: H1.1, H1.2, H1.3, H2.1, H2.2 etc.
3a. For supplementary material, we locate this in accordance with the position you have given in the Word document. Please, add “sup” to the name of the supplementary files. Thus, sup H3.1, sup H3.2 etc.
4. It is very important that the files are final and carefully checked. When we are processing the files, it is no longer possible to submit a new file. The service package includes one hour for making adjustments and corrections (including authors correction). When the files are final, this is usually sufficient. In case we need to work much longer than one hour, we subsequently charge you € 55,- for each extra hour.
