Ik vond dat M. muscosa haar activiteit veranderde onder invloed van licht. De resultaten suggereren dat de intensiteit en spectrale samenstelling van licht een rol spelen bij het gedrag van deze predator.\n\nIn Hoofdstuk 5 onderzochten we hoe ALAN de spatio-temporele overlap be\u00efnvloedt tussen Pipistrellus spp. (dwergvleermuizen) en hun prooi. De resultaten lieten zien dat dwergvleermuizen meer foerageerden in de duisternis.\n\nIn Hoofdstuk 6 hebben we een open-source AI-gebaseerde methode ontwikkeld om de temporele activiteit van insecten onder verschillende lichtomstandigheden te beoordelen, gebruikmakend van de beelden uit Hoofdstuk 5.","summary":"In Chapter 4, I analyzed the effects of ALAN on a visually oriented predator, the jumping spider Marpissa muscosa. I found that M. muscosa changed its activity under the influence of light. The results suggest that the intensity and spectral composition of light play a role in the behavior of this predator.\n\nIn Chapter 5, we investigated how ALAN influences the spatio-temporal overlap between Pipistrellus spp. (pipistrelle bats) and their prey. We examined whether dimming streetlights in urban areas reduces insect attraction and how this affects the foraging activity of bats.
